Welcome!
I am happy to welcome you to our Parish, Jesus Bread of Life. I am grateful to be the pastor of this amazing community. I was born and raised in Kenya. I grew up working in the farm and taking care of sheeps and goats. I come from a family of 15 children, eight sisters and six brothers. I grew up as a Protestant because I was raised by my grandparents who are not Catholics. I became a Catholic in high school in Kenya, when the Lord called me to become a priest.. I realized there was misinformation of Catholicism that most Protestants have and I felt a call to speak the truth.
My interest of becoming a priest was a strong desire of serving the people of God. We are a new parish in Logan Square with two churches, Our Lady of Grace and St. Sylvester. Our mission is to make missionary disciples. The people who are joyfully living the mission of Christ. I dream of a Parish with lively masses, where everyone actively participates, where we answer the mission of Jesus, feeding the hungry, visiting the prisoners, clothing the naked, welcoming the strangers and visiting the sick. I hope you can join us, and make this a reality by becoming a missionary disciple. God bless you, Rev. Samson Ngatia Mukundi |
